Elsa is my Lippit Morgan/ Thoroughbred cross. She is 12 years old. She is about 15.1hh . She came into my like when we met her at my aunts barn. She was being boarded there and we met her when we went to visit my aunt. It took a while but my mom finally convinced her old owner to sell her to us. She came home about 6 years ago. At first she was my moms horse. My moms grandparents bought her for my mom as a late graduation gift. I then fell in love with her. I started spending more and more time with her. When we sold my old horse Trendy Ann, my mom gave half of Elsa to me. Previous to my ownership my sister was working with her and got her going nice. To this day Istill own half of Elsa. It seems like shes all mine concedering i do a good deal of the work!
Ive been riding Elsa since she came. At first I rode for pleasure and fun just at a walk. As the years moved on, I started trotting her. I ride her almost daily in the worm weather but less frequently in the cold weather.
In the snow, I love to go out bareback with Emily and Jet. In the warm weather, we do walk/ trot and a liitle canter now and then. Concidering she is very unbalanced and untrained at the canter and I am also very unbalanced and untrained at the canter, we dont canter often. We often go to Hobby Horse Farm and trail ride and ride in teh indoor. She is somewhat well behaved at new places. At Hobby Horse, she is usually well behaved. In places that are busy and have alot of comotion, she seems to be more missbehaved.
She gets along with Jet and Biscuit. If either one leaves her, she freaks out and has a meltdown. Emilys old horse, Blue, Elsa did not get along with. They got in with eachother one time and it didnt end well at all. When our old horse Dreamer died, Elsa was the only horse left for a while. She was not happy. Thets why we got Biscuit. He is Elsas conpanion pony. He is a great little conpanion for Elsa. Now that we have Jet, Elsa has two friends.
Elsas mom is the Thoroughbred part of her. Her name was Stormbrella.She was white and about 16.1hh. She died of skin cancer. We have a UV protected fly sheet that Elsa wears when it is sunny or buggy outside.
Audacious is Elsas dad. He is the Lippit Morgan part of her. As far as we know, he is still alive.
